The music immersion program concept was developed as a result of our director, Mrs. Jere' Derouin's prodigy student, Bella Morales (11). During the summer of 2006, Mrs. Derouin tailor-made an age appropriate curriculum that ensured Bella's highest potential of learning would be accomplished. Bella was taught piano technique and music theory six hours a week, for a three month period. After the summer was completed, she continued her piano education with Mrs. Derouin for the following four years. She is now studying with Mr. Rodolfo Morales M.M. Juilliard School of Music, Director of Piano Studies at H.S.P.V.A (High School for the Performing and Visual Arts).
This year Elite Music & Fine Arts is offering that same program to children this summer! Camp curriculum includes: Music Theory, Private Lessons, Technique, Music History / Music Appreciation, and Ensemble Rehearsals. We're offering instruction in the following instruments: piano, violin, guitar, and viola. Upon the completion of the month-long program, the children will perform solos as well as in ensembles together.
