Learning Together

Music

Guitar (Semi–Private)
Introductory classroom instruction in the art of classic guitar playing, which includes: technique, sight-reading, interpretation, chords and stage etiquette. Students will need to bring their own Guitar. Participants will be assigned numerous homework assignments and are expected to practice.
Piano (Private)
Students will learn technical theory as well as music theory fundamentals. Students will participate in one on one instruction,. classroom assignments and will be assigned numerous homework tasks. Students will be expected to practice. All Participants will present a recital at the end of the term. The materials fee will cover the books and supplies. There may be additional fees on an individual basis as the student progresses midway through the semester. The instructor will contact the parent is this occurs.
Group Piano
Students will learn technical theory as well as music theory fundamentals. Students will participate in class demonstrations, group assignments, and one on one instruction. Students will be assigned numerous weekly assignments, and will be expected to practice. Participants will present a recital at the end of the term.
Cello (Private)
In this 30 minute private lesson, the needs of the student will be met working one on one with their instructor in order to master the cello. The student will learn to become more flexible on their own instrument using scales,arpeggios, and bowing techniques. They will also learn to speed up their sight and general music reading skills, as well as fine tuning intonation and music fundamentals.
Violin (Private)
In this 30-minute private suzuki violin lesson, the needs of the student will be met working one on one with their instructor in order to master the violin. The student will learn to become more flexible on their own instrument using scales and arpeggios. They will also learn to speed up their sight and general music reading skills, as well as fine tuning intonation and music fundamentals.
Viola (Private)
In this 30-minute private suzuki viola lesson, the needs of the student will be met working one on one with their instructor in order to master the viola. The student will learn to become more flexible on their own instrument using scales and arpeggios. They will also learn to speed up their sight and general music reading skills, as well as fine tuning intonation and music fundamentals.

Theatre Arts

Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre
Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre through: singing, dancing, and acting! Participants will audition for roles and rehearse for a production from the Broadway Kids or Jr. Series. All productions will be age appropriate traditional musical theatre shows or Broadway reviews. Units include vocal training, dancing classes, character coaching, and rehearsals. This character building class encourages teamwork, self-awareness, and high self-esteem! Participants will perform at the end of the term.
Show Writers
Students will be challenged to write and star in their very own production! Units include: story telling, blocking, art, and poetry. Each student will be encouraged to use every medium of art to tell a story.
Poetry
Students will be guided through the process of writing and performing their very own poetry. Units include: creative writing, speaking with passion, and body awareness. Students will be encouraged to present their works in the end of term recital.
Elite Players Touring Troupe
This troupe is comprised of 25 students ages 9 - 16 on an audition basis. The troupe will rehearse and perform at different events in the city of Houston.

Dance

Creative Beginnings
This fun filled class includes elements of creative dance, music and movement, and creative drama. Each student will be guided to use their imaginations with story lines, costumes, and singing. This is class is fun for everyone from beginning to end!
Ballet / Jazz
This class focuses of balance, appropriate stretches, and dance terminology. Students will also learn dance etiquette and grace. All participants will be encouraged to use the body to tell a story. The foundation of Ballet will be used to introduce jazz, individual expression and lyrical dancing.
Boys Tap
Students will learn rhythm, coordination, and an introduction to basic tap fundamentals and terminology. This class caters the dance abilities of all boys involved. The small class sizes allow each boy the attention needed to master tap.
Hip-Hop
This class is all about style, movement, and fun! Units include: break dancing and fluidity. All music will be age appropriate with no suggestive lyrics or curse words. Learn More
